Raj K Vaisoha is group Advisor for ESSAR Group, India’s second largest multinational conglomerate with presence in diverse sectors like steel, oil & gas, power, communications, shipping & logistics, ports & terminals, construction & infrastructure, and minerals. Raj supports the business development of the group, which has operations in more than 20 countries across five continents, revenues of USD 40 billion, and employs 72,000 people.

Raj is also the current director of SSIPL Retail Ltd, a pan-India retail chain of Nike, Levis, Lotto, Benetton stores and a footwear manufacturer for all major global brands, with 4000 employees.

Raj graduated from Sydenham College, Mumbai, and successfully ran companies for export of computers, leather goods, jewelry, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and food to Russia and CIS countries. From 1994 till 2001, Raj represented and consulted large multinational companies for entry into India in diverse sectors such as ferroalloys, iron ore, energy, grain and food, and software.

For over six years, Raj was a board member of Mount Everest Mineral water Ltd , producer of Himalayan water – one of the leading brands in India. He serves on the board of six companies and is a treasurer of HRIDAI, an established NGO in the field of human resources and development.
